Title: An Injury To One

A/N: A 100 word drabble: Ianto's thoughts during a certain scene in Day Four. Angst.



I didn't think I'd have the strength to write a Jack/Ianto drabble for Day Four, but I did it. This one is for you, Ianto Jones.

The poison has a hold of me now. I can feel it chasing the blood in my veins.

But it's okay. Jack is holding me, I'm not scared.

At least he knows I love him, now. I know he'd have never said it back, but the pain in his eyes makes me think that he does.

And in 1,000 years, he'll remember me. He promised, and I believe him.

It's all going dark now. Is this where you go, Jack?

I'll wait for you here, love. Every time you die, reach out for me in the darkness. I'll be there.

I don't know what to say. This is so beautiful, so painful, so touching and it went straight to my heart. I'm crying now when I read this.

I can see Ianto being there every time Jack dies and every time Jack has to leave him...dying a bit every time. Poor Jack!

That was really incredible. Even after watching Ianto's death, I never cried, but you have just succeeded in making me do so, and even though it hurt to read this, it was so worth it. Thanks for writing this, and doing such a wonderful job with it.
